S-R-T Services, Inc. is owned and operated by Steve Torres of Las Vegas, NV. A native born Las Vegas resident, he has worked for over 30 years in the construction industry and is a licensed handyman.
With extensive knowledge of building and electrical codes, he is a perfectionist, and takes on projects with safety and longevity in mind. That experience and understanding sets Steve apart from others, and builds trust with clients and friends.
Steve works on all projects personally, and particularly enjoys installing tile and designing bathroom remodels.
We want to take this opportunity to let everyone know how pleased we are with the completed master bath remodel in our home and with the new look in our other two bathrooms. For a large project (at least for us) we actually enjoyed the process because Steve listened to our needs and wants and helped us make cost effective decisions. We are very pleased with the results and highly recommend Steve for all your remodeling jobs.
My wife and I got several bids from different home remodel companies to open up and reconfigure our kitchen and 3 baths. After talking to them and getting their prices, we had Steve out to our house and showed him what we wanted. He gave us a written break down quote for every aspect of the jobs and he would update it as things changed.
We removed 3 walls in the kitchen and had a large island built in it, changed the fireplace and refinished with stack stone. In 2 of the 3 bathrooms we had to tear out and reconfigure the plumbing for the tub/ showers and sinks. His recommendations were spot on for how to install the tile in the showers. He had to totally gut the master bath, the lighting was modified and he had to carefully break out part of the floor to move the drain for the new walk in shower. His tile work throughout from the kitchen backsplash to the large tiles in the master shower and the 2 other baths is exquisite. He definitely knows what he is doing and he is a perfectionist at it.
We will be calling him again when anything else has to be changed. He was a pleasure to work with and very fair.
We have used S-R-T Services for a variety of home improvement projects and Steve Torres has been outstanding in each one.
Initially recommended by Home Depot, Steve converted a tiny pantry and useless desk into a full wall pantry with soft closing drawers behind soft closing doors. Display custom glass shelves behind glass doors illuminated by LED lights accentuate the new pantry. A corner cabinet with custom glass shelves behind glass doors lighted by LED lights completes the pantry.
Steve converted the old pantry area into a wine bar equipped with a wine cooler, custom glass shelves, wine glass racks, two types of LED lights, and a custom fabricated wrought iron gate door. He also installed lighting for the step down into the dining room eliminating a safety hazard. Steve cleans up as he works and never leaves a mess.
His pantry work was so good that we hired him to update a bathroom for an elderly parent. He removed a tub and built a custom shower (tile walls and floor) equipped with grab bars for safety, new water temperature regulating valve on one side and the new adjustable shower head and removable hand held wand on the other side. Smooth opening glass doors completed the shower. The sink received new fixtures and a coat of paint finished the room. The end product is beautiful.
S-R-T also installed wall mounts for televisions in two rooms for that elderly parent and set up one room as a sitting room. That room has a large pot shelf that he converted to storage with shelves behind sliding doors that match the closet doors. Again, the end result is terrific.
Steve has helped with electrical installations for cameras, televisions, outdoor power receptacles, a special electrical circuit in the garage, installed epoxy paint on the garage floor, fabricated an outdoor TV enclosure and installed the TV.
In each project, Steve demonstrated good humor, was on time, priced his work reasonably, was knowledgeable about and complied with building and electrical codes, and kept the work areas clean.
We highly recommend S-R-T Services and Steve Torres in particular for any home improvement project.
